Thought this might interest the Chowhound faithful. While browsing in Kitchen Arts & Letters today, an English gentlemen came in and asked about books on barbecue. I looked up and realized it was Robert Pierson of L.I.C. BBQ fame. I started to chat with him and one of the things I asked him was did he miss it? He smiled and said he was in the process of hopefully opening up a new place on the Upper East Side of Manhattan but he couldn't give me the details as it wasn't a done deal. I asked if he was going to be able to call it Pierson's and he seemed to indicate that is what is would be called. But don't quote me on that one. Anyway, I thought that was good news.
