Roasting Pan Help

Curlyjeepgirl | Nov 25, 201905:16 PM     27

Oh geez.. is it even possible to find a roasting pan not made in china? I realized my 17 year old roaster had seen better days.

I ordered a viking roasting pan that I found on Amazon. It thought it was 18/10 but as it turns out it is only 18/8. The pan feels nice and heavy but I'm questioning if the lesser grade stainless is a big deal. It's a tri ply pan. I then ordered the Calphalon contemporary Stainless which isn't stamped any grade of ss. That pan doesn't seem as weighty as the Viking, but seems ok. Bottom is not completely flat though. I have electric cooktop.

Which is the better pan? Unfortunately, I don't have time to get a new one.

Or, should i stick it out with my old one and wait and get a european made roaster that isn't made in china?
