Just had a call from an old friend now residing in Vancouver. He and his new bride have recently (May) opened the RG at 16209 SE McGillivary.
Glenn owned and ran Sackett's Kenai Grill in Cooper Landing, Alaska, for a number of years until last summer when he lost the lease. The KG was world famous, especially with the Salmon fishermen heading from Anchorage down to the river or on to Seward or Homer. Reviews in fishing mags encouraged fellow travlers to be sure and stop, going and returning. A newspaper review called it one of the best places to eat in Alaska.
Glenn tells me he's kept the same menu of dishes that he developed and put his personal touches on. The KG also had a decent selection of wines, so I would expect to find the same at his new place.
He is running a coupon campaign as an opening promotional if you have access to local papers. Otherwise give him a call at 360-883-0271, I'm sure he'd be glad to oblige.
Disclaimer: I have no interest, financial or otherwise in this venture, just hoping Vancouverites and visitors alike enjoy the food as much as we have.
