I use a Rice Cooker for Oat Groats and White Basmati Rice. My current (very old) cooker has a "Non-Sticky White Rice" mode that works well for Basmati. Some new ones (e.g., Tiger) have special "Jasmine" settings (also a long-grain white rice, so pretty much same) but other nice ones I'm looking at (e.g., Cuckoo or Instant-Pot) don't.
If I'm willing to pay for great, consistent Basmati, is it worth it to find a unit with the the dedicated function? (And any experiences with Rice Cookers and Basmati Rice appreciated....)
