returning le creuset to le creuset

My French oven has cracked on the inside. I noticed that this item has a lifetime guarantee, so I contacted Le Creuset at the site below. I received a notice back that included the following questionable statements:

1. Replacement with the same color and exact style of cookware cannot be guaranteed.

2. All non-defective and non-broken cookware is held for thirty days to allow time to resolve any issue pertaining to the claim.

To that end, does anyone have any experience in returning something to Le Creuset? The crack isn't HUGE and I would like the same style back, so I'm curious to find out what happens in Le Creuset Return World.

PS I'm not really looking for advice like, "well you should just keep it then." I don't want to cloud the board, I would just like info from people who have returned something to them.
