Return to Cafe Habana

We had a great time at Habana, on 21st St in Center City, last night. The place is fairly unassuming from the outside - can't really tell it's a well-designed little oasis on the inside. I think this might hurt their business.

Overall, we'd go back to Habana over Cuba Libre or Mixto any time.

- Mojito. Not too sweet. Perfect amount of lime. Could actually taste the rum.

- Grilled Cuban bread - crisp, a little buttery. Mmm.

- Special chickpea/chorizo soup for 7.50 was a rich meal unto itself. Would have been better on a wintery day, but I ate every drop.

- Fricase de Pollo - 12.50. Chicken simmered in red wine with olives, black beans and rice. Came with side of salty fried plantains.

No coffee or dessert this time, but we'll be back.
