Hoping someone can help with information I haven't been able to find on the board.
We're headed to Italy this weekend and looking for restaurants with great food and moderate prices, and where we aren't surrounded by other Americans. Can anyone recommend the following?
* In Rome, an excellent and informal lunch spot within a 15-minute walk of the Galleria Villa Borghese. Because of our museum reservation time, it needs to be open for lunch on a Sunday after 1 pm.
* In Rome, the same type of place in the vicinity of San Giovanni in Laterano and open on Mondays for lunch.
* In Naples, an excellent pizzeria for dinner, within a 5- or 10-minute walk of Teatro San Carlo and open early enough to be finished by 8:15 pm. (Do any places serve this early in Naples -- or are we doomed to eat tourist food?)
Thanks for your thoughts!
