restaurant butters

Do you ever try the butters that restaurants offer on their own, without bread? If so, what restaurants would you say care about the type (salted/unsalted, flavored) and quality (fleur-de-sel, freshly-churned) of their butters?

This may be a strange question, but I know people who will try a bit of the butter to help determine how committed a restaurant is to getting even the tiniest details down. I believe AOC might've passed the butter test years ago, but I can't be certain.
