Help getting reservations at top sushi restaurants in Tokyo?

Belkisw | Jan 18, 201811:56 AM

I am in the midst of planning our belated honeymoon to Japan in the spring and desperately trying to get bookings at some of the top sushi places in Tokyo but unsuccessful so far. I would be eternally grateful to any of you out there that might be able to help us to secure reservations at some of the tougher spots? Just to add some detail, here are the sushi spots we were hoping for (ideally at least 3-4 of them because we have 8 days in Tokyo and the main purpose of our trip is sushi):
Saito, Arai, Yuu, Yoshitake, Mitani, Iwa, Harutaka

If folks think it will be impossible to get bookings at any of these, I am very happy to get recommendations on other places that we can get reservations that are of similar caliber. A friend recommend Ishijima (Higashi Ginza)

Then here is the rest of our foodie outlook for our days in Tokyo, happy for any feedback on this part too, we want to have one from each category, and two Yakiniku probably since I love it so much:
Soba- Yabu Soba, Matsuya Azabu Nagasaka Sarashina Honten (Azabu Juban), Narutomi (Tsukiji)
Ramen- Ichiran, Nagi, Rokurinsha or Fuunji Afuri (Ebisu, Roppongi) Yamachan (Tsukiji, best Tonkotsu ramen in town) Kagari (Ginza)
Curry- Yamituki
Katsu- Agezuki Tonki (Meguro) Katsuretsu-An (Yokohama)
Kaiseki- Kanda, Ryugin
Izikaya- Akaoni, Toki no Ma in Ebisu
Yakitori- Torkiki Torishiki (heard its hard to get a reservation though), Kushibei, Souten Minamiguchi, Torisuki, Bird Land
Yakiniku- Sumibi Yakiniku Nakahara, Misuji, Gyuzo
