Repost from Not About Food - Coffee Makers

Marci | Feb 6, 2006 12:59 PM

My coffee maker has decided to throw in the towel after many years of dedication to getting me through the morning.

I'm now in the market for a new coffee maker and have been doing a bit of online research before I head out to the stores with wallet in hand. The options are overwheling and customer reviews aren't helping produce any clear cut winners. Since my fellow 'hounds haven't let me down in the past, I'm coming to you for advice.

If you were a one (maybe 2 cup) a day coffee drinker and the only one in the house, which coffee pot would you buy? Is there any great benefit to going to french press route?

Of course, if french press is the way to go, then what about a grinder?
