repost about clams

with no random extraneous food thoughts.

I actually stopped by the Clam Box at Wollaston Beach to look at their clam plates before meeting my friend at Tony's so I could be sure to get the best (looking at least). They both looked about the same and were the same price, so I went with a clam plate at Tony's which were just okay. $13.95 got you a medium pile of clams, slaw and fries, which I traded for onion rings at $.75 more. The clams were a little chewy, had too much belly action for my taste. My friend thought the onion rings were tasteless, I didn't think they were bad. Thin batter style. Cole slaw was the sweet deli kind. Took two minutes to get our orders, my friend got a huge chicken salad club w/ rings for around $8. Nice nite across from the beach which is pretty cleaned up, great view of downtown Boston.
