Report on Stone Park Cafe

After walking by this restaurant every day for weeks since it opened, I finally tried it last night.

First of all, it's totally beautiful and relaxed and the service was excellent. The owner came over to introduce himself and chatted with us for a few minutes about the menu and suggested a delicious half bottle of wine. He's from Park Slope and you can tell that he loves the neighborhood.

We split the frisee salad with lardons and a poached egg - delicious - and oyster soup - rich and very satisfying.

I had the braised rabbit which had olives and I forget what else. It was kind of country-french, very pleasant and I would definitely get it again. My partner had the gnocchi special which was knock-your-socks-off delicious and creamy.

Can't wait to go back. I'm so excited this is in our neighborhood.
