rejuvenating old ground coffee

no, this is not a question about adding coffee to your compost pile.

I discovered six 8oz boxed of Gevalia ground coffee in my cupboard.
the boxes are about 6 years old, far older than the year Gevalia wants
you to keep them prior to use.

The coffee is still in a foil wrapped vacuum sealed cube within each box.

Is there any trick I can use to ensure this coffee can brew properly?
or is this a lost cause. I just hate to chuck out $50 worth of coffee.
