Reef Line, East Boston

itsroyron | Jun 17, 2017 01:51 PM

We tried dinner at the new Reef Line in East Boston last night. The location of this place and view across Boston Harbor is fantastic. I can imagine that when the weather cooperates this place will be packed. They have a large outdoor patio.

Overall impressions were good. Very nice decor, professional but friendly waitstaff and moderate prices. We shared the Mezze Platter for a starter. It includes an excellent house made Hummus, stuffed grape leaves, artichoke hearts a few olives and crispy pieces of pita bread. Overall a good choice.
For mains we had the Grilled Salmon and the Grilled Scallops. The salmon was cooked perfectly and served with sticky rice and vegetables. My scallops were served with a salad of coucous and shaved brussel sprouts. My only complaint was there were only 3 scallops and for $28.00 I thought there should have been at least one more.

The major downside of the evening was the noise level. It would be difficult to have a conversation if you were at a table of four or more people.

I would give Reef Line another try but probably not for dinner. It would be a nice place for lunch on a sunny day
