Just ate at Reef last night and my takehome was "why don't I eat here more often?"
Really one of the best places for chow in Boston.
We just told the young guy to bring us dinner for three, a bit of everything.
We had: grapeleaves, tahina, fried potatoes, and cucumber salad for apps.
For mains we had a sort of okra lamb stew that was sublime rich, earthy excellent.
And then we also had a mixed kebab which had their homemade kefta and was beautifully seasoned.
And the requisite baklava.
Honestly one of the best meals I have had in Boston lately. Every morsel was unique and excellent. The grapeleaves unlike those anywhere else. The little fried potato nuggets a delight. And the okra stew the hit of the night.
Nevermind that they make some of the best baklava in Boston, this from a guy who lives in Watertown.
Anyhow, they weren't really crowded. This is the kind of place that hounds really should support. The food is really just top notch across the board.
