I need the whole beans, organic if possible, as the beans lose some of their anti-oxidant/nutrient benefits through heating, and also by drying out quicker especially when powdered or chopped. There is more of a chance that the nibs and powders have unwanted additives, also.
Some of the above choices varied in ingredients by brand, i.e. some had added sodium listed, some had no potassium (added?), some had more fat.
The only brick and mortar choices I could find were the nibs and powdered kinds @ New Seasons and Whole Foods markets.
I let a teaspoon of the nibs melt (sort of!) in my mouth and I thought I’d do the same with the whole beans.
I did like the unanticipated caffeine buzz which followed...it seemed better and less acidic than that from black coffee’s.
I’ll probably have to buy them mail order.
Can anyone suggest brands they have tried or heard about?
