New recommendations in Tucson?

Joan Kureczka | Jan 3, 2003 04:00 PM

We spend about a week in Tucson each February around the mineral show and are always looking for interesting new places. Anything open in the last 12 months that we should know about? Can be fancy or very casual.

Favorites year to year include Poca Cosa, Barrio (because it's convenient to the convention center and our hotel), J Bar, Cafe Terra Cotta (although I hear it keeps sliding downhill), Nonie, Kingfisher. Also liked the restaurant out at the Westward Look (can't remember the name).

So what new stuff should we check out? What might be a good replacement for Terra Cotta (wine equally important to the food)?
