Recommendations for "safe" food in Vancouver?

Karl B | Jul 21, 2003 12:19 AM

I'll be spending a few days in Vancouver with my parents and a couple friends of theirs, all of whom are:

(a) elderly
(b) frugal (children of the Depression)
(c) not tremendously adventurous dining-wise

This means that my usual suspects for food are out. (Chinese? "It's all fried and greasy!" Japanese? "Yuck! It's all raw fish!" Indian? "Too spicy!" Upscale? "Too expensive!")

So can anybody recommend any places that would have food that is "safe" for the old folks yet still good-quality? Good seafood would be a plus.
