Going to be in Madrid and Barcelona for 4 days each.
While in Madrid, I would really like to try a good cocido. I know one place is famous for it, but have heard that their other stuff is not stellar and so don't want to go there. Also, my wife wouldn't really like that dish and so I'm trying to find a place that does a really good cocido and also has a good menu that she may order something else from (this may be almost any restaurant in madrid).
I'm also looking to get my hands on a good cochinillo with the same requirements for my wife as she won't eat that either. Would Botin be okay or is there a better place to go that isn't as touristy?
Lastly, what are the recommended seafood places in Barcelona and what are the top faves in the Barcelonetta section?
