Recommendations for dining alone in NY

Libby | Nov 18, 2002 05:25 PM

I will be travling to NY for business in a few weeks and have added on a weekend before to do some sightseeing.

I am looking for a couple of places for a Saturday and Sunday dinner that a single woman (in my early 30's) will not feel out of place (or be stuck by the kitchen door)while dining on my own. I prefer to stay in a modest price range (less than $30 per meal) as hotels are eating up my budget. I dont care for sushi but other than that am open to other choices.

As far as location - Saturday I need to be on the west side (midtown or upper) Sunday is wide open.

Thanks in advance. If anyone is ever looking for Atlanta chow recommendations - let me know - will be glad to return the favor.
