Over the last few years I've developed a pretty good competition chili. It's always a hit at parties--when it's hot! When chili gets cool, the fat solidifies, and it gets sorta nasty. I've been forced to use the kitchen to heat it up, which is always a pain at parties--the kitchen is usually crazy busy. In addition, (if any is left :) ) it cools off in about 1/2 hour, and then I have to either heat it up again or put it away... a real pain.
So, I'm looking for a way to bring chili to a party, and keep it warm.
Any suggestions? Ideally, i'd like to avoid the need for power; something that I could just heat up and plop down on the food table between the veggie tray and the hummus.
