Last year I found that one of my local grocers occasionally carries whole fresh turkey thighs. Curiosity caused me to pick up a package and I simply seasoned them with salt/pepper/garlic and roasted them in the oven. Fantastic! So I've been buying them for dinner occasionally over the winter, but now grilling season is upon us and I'd like to know if anybody has experience with these ginormous thighs and maybe has a suggestion for a good marinade and grilling method. I've seen some recipes that call for cutting out the bone, but I prefer cooking meats bone-in. I'm thinking that because of their size I'd probably have to pre-cook them for a bit in an oven before transferring them to a grill.Any advice is welcome and appreciated.
