Recipe for Italian Sarvoida Cookies

I've been on the hunt for a recipe for these Italian cookies that I grew up eating from Long Island bakeries. They're white with a crackly top (meringue-like), taste a bit like almond, are soft on the interior, and shaped like a flat egg. Anyone with a recipe, thank you!
