Recap of weekend in New Orleans

Hey,
Thanks again for the suggestions.
We got in too late on Friday because our flight was delayed three hours. So we just hit Bourbon Street until 530 AM. On Saturday, though, we ate like kings.
First we had breakfast (barle woke up in time). Went to the Cafe Du Monde for the obligatory beignets and coffee, then went to Petunia's. Had the French Toast.
Very good.
For lunch, we hit the Gumbo Shop, which, for my money,
is a good place. Casual and good food. Went there 11 years ago and it is still doing well. Chicken gumbo
and jambalaya were my choices, along with three Abita's. all Good.
For dinner, we were going to try Irene's, but the concierge at the Royal Sonesta talked up this place call Gamay. So went there and it was terrific. I had
the grouper, which was fantastic. After that, it was Bourbon St until 530am.
Great time. Thanks again.
