Went to Rebecca's in Edgewater Friday Night.
Restaurant is tucked into a quiet street of the main road.
Food was excellent.
Appetizers were delectable: jerk chicken skewers had excellent flavor, with just a bit of a kick. griled shrimp on tostones, were large and very fresh, and served with a perfect tomato salsa, that was al dente, with nice crunchy salt flakes. This went well with a palm heart/avocado salad. We also tried the black bean soup which was advertised as the best this side of the keys. The soup was alright, and it did grow on you as you ate it.
Main course were: Ropa viaja, lechon asada, pepper red snapper, and Havana shrimp. These were also all excellent, there was a mashed sweet potato and coconut dish as a side which was perfecto. lechon asada came with a delicious sauce, red snapper was cooked just right and tasted great piping hot. Desserts: bread pudding and key lime pie, both good with a nice cafe cortadito. Highly recommend
