Real NYC Lunch for Out-of-Towners

JD | Dec 3, 2002 04:16 PM

I'm having four friends fly in next Thursday from Texas and they want to experience a real "glam" New York lunch. They have suggested Gramercy, Nobu, or even Nobu-next door. Defintiely someplace that has some name recognition back in Texas so they can tell their friends and family where they went.
Since I work, and don't usually have time to venture more than a block or two from the office, I know nothing about my lunch options at these types of restaurants.
Has anyone had any really great NYC "glam" lunches lately? Where can I suggest?

Final Note:
I know they're willing to spend some money, but not blow their entire vacation budget in one meal. $25-30/per person is max. No drinking.
