Rancilio Silvia espresso machine advice--any old timers out there?

I bought mine about 7-8 years ago, used it for several years, then stopped when it blew a fuse and I never bothered to get a new fuse and get it working again. Now I want to, but it has not been used for maybe 3 years, and I'm wondering what the chances are that it will work well if I just replace the fuse and fire it up. In particular, how likely is it I'm going to have to rebuild it with all new gaskets, O rings, and so on, and if I do need to how much is all that likely to cost.

I once had a Pavoni that I let sit for a long time (after I got the RS) and when I went to fire it up again steam and water came pouring out from every joint. Hence my concern. Any experience/tips along these lines that anyone can share would be greatly appreciated.
