Ramen Halu

Cary | Jun 17, 2005 08:33 PM

I ate at Ramen Halu today for lunch. Recently they've changed their noodles for their Halu bowl. It's more firm and chewy, and also retains its chewy texture to the very last noodle. It has a round cross section versus the squarish one. THeir website has a brief description. I believe they tried changing the noodle a couple of months ago, with some bad reviews, reverted back to the old type, then after more testing, released the new one. The Halu broth seemed to have more big pieces of pork fat, and was more salty than I remembered, but still a good bowl.
