quik lunch at Pancho's

Hunger overwhelmed me while I was making copies at Kinko's on Stanyan Street, so I walked across the street to Pancho's on Geary. Two steak tacos for $5.09, served with cheese, lettuce, chips & a serve-yourself salsa bar. I watched as the corn tortillas, shaped from fresh masa, were cooked on a hot griddle for my tacos! While it's not as cheap&tasty as the Mission taco trucks where a taco is $1.70, it's fresh with a generous portion of steak. Surrounded mostly by burritos, one other diner had a huge bowl of soup that looked mighty fine.
