Question about slow roasting a turkey breast

I saw a recipe that said to cook at 450 for 15 minutes (I did 20) then lower to 170 for 8 hours.

Because my oven heats 20 degrees hotter, I was going to set at 160 to get 180 but discovered my gas oven only goes as low as 170 and my oven thermometer says it's about 220 in there.

I have 2 hours to go to the 8 hours and I keep checking with my thermapen. It's about 153 internal temp now. Thought I'd go to 170-175.

Any advice?
