Went in to Kalustyn's for the first time last night. Only had a few minutes before an appointment, however I did buy some Rosematta Rice (red indian rice). Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the best way to cook this. I typically cook all rice in a rice cooker and use more water for brown rice vs. white rice. I also soak brown rice in water for a few hours before cooking. Any ideas of whether I should treat this rice more like brown or white rice? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Also just wanted to mention that most of the chinese items (i.e. moong beans, plum sauce, etc.) I saw there can be purchased for less in Chinatown.
