Question about edemame as an hors d'oeuvre

I'm doing cocktails tonight and bought some shelled edemame I planned to serve in a small bowl as you would nuts. Is that proper? Would I be better off served them in individual ramekins?

Anything I should toss them in (other than a bit of course salt) to sex them up a bit? Thanks!
