Question re All Clad 6 qt saute pan

lvhkitty | Jan 6, 200912:11 PM     11

I am contemplating "investing" in the 6 qt saute pan. I had the 3 qt in a box with the receipt and think it's too small.

I already have a great 12 qt AC stock pot (which is amazing), AC 3 qt saucepan and a bunch of Le Creuset dutch ovens.

I wanted to sear fish/chicken and finish it in the oven. Instead of getting a stainless steel skillet, I thought the saute would work and could be used to make other things. I really like the wide base it has.

3 questions: 1) what is the length of the 6 qt saute from the front handle to the tip of the back handle? will it fit in an average oven?
2) is it going to work for what I want?
3) if you have one, is it worth the money?

Thanks.
