You're bound to get a few of these as the long weekend approaches and based on the recent few threads it looks like everybody in NYC is going to be in Montreal (myself and wife, included). It's easy to blame this on the RNC convention, but I have to admit that I have no one else to blame lately.
Anyway, we have 2 nights in Montreal. Reserved one night at Ferreira's and am debating between Brunoise or L'Express for the other dinner. From what I read here, Ferreira seem to have cornered the establishment on good innovative Portuguese dishes.
We love bistro-type food but have been inundated lately with similar fares from local French bistros here in NYC. They are mostly good to very good but we would like new or innovative twists on bistro-type dishes. I think we are in the right ballpark with either. The question is which one? Or, should we just make time for lunch on our departure day of Sunday (we are driving) and hit both, instead? This assumes that at least one of these restaurants are open for lunch on Sunday.
Thank you for your suggestions.
