Grew up in Manhattan, where it seems there was a deli or 2 on every block, most pretty darn good. Anyway, of those we've tried in LA, we liked Nate & Al's, Brent's & Art's best, Jerry's & Katella Deli less so. None were to die for, but maybe 'corned beef to die for' is just a pipe dream in lalaland. We've heard adds for Roll & Rye, eyeballed deli at Farmer's Market but haven't taken the plunge, & also read mixed reviews about Canters, Froman's, Factor's & Junior's.
Any corned beef mavens among you hounds & houdesses out there? Lead us to some great corned beef and prove Neil was wrong when he sang 'LA's fine but it ain't home'.
