Hey, New Yorkers.
I'm working on a screenplay set in NY circa 1986, and I'd like to take advantage of my status as a sometime contributor to the L.A. board and ask y'all a question:
Can anyone tell me what were the four or five trendiest, hardest-to-get-a-reservation-at restaurants in Manhattan at the time? Not necessarily the best food. The kind of places an obnoxious Wall Street type might take a date he wanted to impress. Location/description -- and name of maitre d'? -- would of course be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
