Queen Vic on Richmond

Decided last w/e to give Queen Vic a try. Ive been wanting to get there for sometime.. This pub serving a mix of English/Indian food was very crowded but we were able to find two seats at the bar. The restaurant is heavy on wood decor, is dimly lit,, and loud,, with a terrific brew selection,, everything you'd expect from an english pub...The husband-wife owners also run Oporto on Richmond,, serving up terrific tapas in a small but warm bar/restaurant. The Indian dishes we tried at Queen Vic were standout.. the Lamb Vindaloo packed plenty of heat, was plentiful with rice and naan.. Though it did not have quite the complexity of the Vindaloo served at Indika,, it was terrific and,, memorable.. I'm looking forward to my next visit.. They do a nice happy hour daily with inexpensive bar bites we were told.. Having tried the Red Lion Pub on Shepherd that I might score a 5,,, Queen Vic was clearly a 10. I spoke with both owners that evening,, charming, humble and extremely invested in delivering great food and customer service.
