I learned to cook watching and listening to people who did it well, reading cookbooks avidly, and using a Cuisinart. I find I am still reaching for the Cuisinart, now on my second in twenty-five years, nearly every time I set out to make a meal. I really don't know if the way I cook, the kinds of things that I enjoy making, would be the same without having had this appliance ever at hand, always on my counter. I chop vegetables, puree sauces, make breads, make dips, make salad dressings, use it weekly for tuna salad and egg salad. Am I hopelessly behind the times, or are others still in love with their Cuisinart, and what are you using it to make these days?
