pumpkin risotto

It's that time of year...Had an excellent pumpkin risotto (served in the pumpkin, of course, w/ chanterelles and garlic) at Grotto, accompanied by seared scallops and pomengranate, etc. (DOn't forget to scoop out the inside of the pumpkin) Also their vitello tonnato makes a nice app (paper-thin slices of veal w/ tuna dressing and greens), although I liked their beef carpaccio even better, back when they used to offer it. The braised short rib w/ gnocchi is tender and rich, as always.
