About to pull the trigger on a Shun Nakiri Premier. Why shouldn't I?

Pheelicks | Jun 1, 201508:08 PM     24

After doing some self-assessing of my cooking style, I've come to the conclusion that my main action with knives is on vegetables and fruits. I am certainly a carnivore and am mostly happy with my current kitchen knives which can handle those tasks. However, I am of the impression that a Nakiri would help elevate my knife skills with what I want my final vision of a dish to be.

The Shun Premier is within the upper tier of my budget and from what I've been able to glean off the internet, wouldn't be a bad choice to start with. With the discount, I can get it for $132. It's also has a handsome blade and handle.

If memory serves me right, there are a few on here that are not particular fans of Shun. Please chime in. But any have used the knife, I would appreciate your thoughts of how it has been for you.

Thanks for your comments.
