Got a wild puffball mushroom at a local farmers market this morning, they only had half a dozen of them and it was the first time I had ever seen one for sale in my area.
First off, this thing is huge so I want to prepare it multiple ways to see which is the best.
The obvious, a quick saute in butter or olive oil. After, that Not so sure. I was thinking maybe of a mushroom soup.
Anyone cooked with this type of mushroom before and have a favorite use for it?
