We had to be at LAX to drop someone off yesterday morning so we took the opportunity to visit the PB. This restaurant has been there for as long as I can remember, (since the1970's in my case). Never the greatest food but they have a unique situation in that the restaurant sits alongside the south runways of LAX and they have a terrific collection of WW II and other early aviation photos and real WW II and Korean War fighter aircraft that are displayed on the restaurant grounds.
If you know the food at the Sunday brunch at Shaghai Red's in Marina Del Rey then you will know what the PB has. Not the sort of quality that can be found at Trump's Pacific Trails in PV or what used to be available at Loews Beach Hotel in Santa Monica when they did a Sunday buffet. Not even quite as good as the Universal Hilton.
The best thing is the omelet station. Other than that maybe their Mexican offerings. The location and display of aircraft are the reasons I would go back - not the food.
Adults after 10 am are $27 pp and if you arrive between 9 am (opening) and 10 am you receive a $5 discount.
Located on Aviation Blvd. on the NE corner of 111th and Aviation (with the entrance being a bit north of 111th St. on Aviation).
