I need your help. I haven't baked in a long time so I decided to try again and I'm trying to make pretzels. Everything was going well until I took it out of the oven. It was a beautiful golden brown but the parchment paper was stuck on the bottom!!! So, now I had to grab a knife and cut it out resulting in the picture below.
Help, how can I avoid this? The receipe said lightly oil the parchment paper - i did so but was i suppose to oil the tray also? Maybe I added too much oil? Maybe the dough was not oiled enough? Maybe the parchment paper got wet from my boiling the pretzels in hot water?
I'm trying again tomorrow morning, please help :-/
(edit: i just realized I was using wax paper instead of parchment paper - did that cause my pretzels to get stuck?)
