A little praise for Corner Bistro

OK, I've been her twice, now

First time I got a chicken sandwich (it was good but, what was I thinking?)

Last night, my boyfriend, two girlfriends and I went back. This time, I did it right and got a burger.

What a DELICIOUSLY wonderful, no frills kind of place. There is no menu, except for the one on the wall. It's dark, it's messy, it's loud (depending on the crowd)

The burgers are cooked to perfection with crisp onions, lettuce and tomatoes. Add a mug of beer for $2.50 and you've got yourself one of the best $10 meals in town.

oh, FYI, as my best friend and I were waiting for my boyfriend and our other friend, we went in to the bar right at the end of the block (W. 12th and W4th streets) and got a (pretty strong) bloody mary for $3. now THAT's some good, cheap livin' in this expensive city of ours!
