Power Tea at the Four Seasons

Three of us went to have "Power Tea" last night. We have confirmed that it's an absolutely decadent treat! A power tea, is similar to afternoon hotel tea, but all the items served are savory. Also one can get cocktails instead of tea.

The Power tea consisted of 4 each on the mini blini or toasts: pan-seared foie gras, steak tartare, proscuitto with quail egg, lobster salad, smoke salmon with osetra caviar, and crab salad with tobiko. It also came with tempura vegetable on bamboo sticks with dipping sauce, and bruleed goat cheese with nut and dried fruits and these toasts that were fired with butter, salt, sugar, and pepper. ALL WERE FABULOUS. The presentation of course was beautiful.

The Power tea can be shared by 2-4 people, and costs $95. It's expensive but can be a good dinner. I believe it's served after 5PM and I think available everyday. I have no idea when it stops. If you want to know more check out their website.

I have been though to better "Power TEA" at the Ritz in Battery Park NYC last year. The price was $38, and consisted of 4 full course of foie gras, trout salad on brioche, steak tartare, and stilton souffle along with a "infused cocktail". My boyfriend and I shared it (along with afternoon tea sweets) and we were literally stuffed! That is a fond memory
