I went to the new Pot Belly's located on 17th Street between JFK and Market Streets this week. What a disappointment! They had a very limited sandwich menu (maybe 8 sandwiches to choose from). All sandwiches are $4.19 and come with nothing (no chips, no soda). There are no combo deals for soup and sandwich. They had a total of 6 salads to choose from - all priced at $5.29. The restaurant is very small with few tables (maybe 15 total). It's incredibly loud, and extremely cold (too many glass windows). I ordered a chicken salad salad, and I could swear the chicken salad was frozen based on how cold the salad was. It wasn't just cold - it was icy cold. They also have a guy playing guitar in the restaurant. Nice touch if the place weren't so loud. For what you get for the money - I'm going to stick with the Corner Bakery across the street. It's was a disappointment. Hopefully the new Comcast Center will have something good for Center City dwellers.
