another possibility for downtown Brooklyn

Restaurants & Bars 5

another possibility for downtown Brooklyn

Always in search of decent food near my office in downtown Brooklyn, I just found cheap and delicious fried fish at Duffield Seafood Express: hot, crispy, non-greasy fish and chips for only $3.00! It is not a fancy place at all -- strictly a working-class, slice-of-white-bread-as-a-side, iceberg-lettuce type of place. But, man the fish was great, and so cheap. (The most expensive combination was fried shrimp, scallops and french fries for $4.50, which I will try next time.)

On the next block down, at around 190 Duffield Street, was a place called Amette Jamaican Cafe. Anyone tried it?
