Did a quick run through of newly opened Horatius Market Gallery & Bistro this afternoon. It's on Kansas across the street from the culinary school. For the Portuguese mavens out there, this week it's featuring Portuguese food products. I tasted a Portuguese olive oil and my friend bought a Portuguese cookbook.
The shelves are rather sparsely stocked now and there's a lot of floor space. As fitting a "gallery", it is quite attractive. The bistro looked busy at late lunch time. i did eye the pastries, and some are made in-house, others are supplied by Patisserie Philippe. Coffee is Ritual.
