I have a couple of bags of frozen favas, and am looking for a tried-and-true recipe for Portuguese fava beans. My husband's aunt makes a family recipe that is pretty tasty but it uses ketchup and is a bit sweet for me. I'd love any non-ketchup recipes that are either vegetarian, like titia's, or that use linguica or chourico, delicious Portuguese sausages that are readily available in this part of New England. The dish is flavored with green peppers, onions, garlic and tomatoes, but I'm a bit shaky on the spicing. Thanks!
