OK, after reading all of your comments I've changed our choices to Park Kitchen, Fife or Higgins for dinner. I've done research and found Wildwood to be at the bottom of lists on CitySearch, Tripadvisor, etc. I think it may becoming outdated, but I don't know that for sure.
I like to go with the places that are currently recognized as being "the best." I was impressed with the fact the Park Kitchen received the Food & Wine Best Chef of the Year Award. Very impressive, I'm big into awards from notable publications. (Could stem from all of my kids being champion athletes, but I love that kind of public recognition.)
So far in Portland, I have loved all of my choices for dining and couldn't be more pleased. There's nothing worse than forking out big bucks for a place and leaving thinking, "that was nothing special."
Fife is #1 on CitySearch right now, with Bluehour being #2. Before I start repeating my faves I've already tried, I want to keep going for the ones I have yet to try, then start my repeats on my faves.
So, now help me decide on that fantastic meal in Portland that will leave me raving to others about the fantastic dining in this gorgeous city that I've grown to love so much! ***kim***
